Maui And Matau

Instructions for Maui and Matau. You have to be in a circle to play. Maui is left and Matau is right. You have to listen to the leader. We have to leave the rakau where it is and I have to walk around the circle. And have to catch the rakau.

GO ALL BLACKS,


On Saturday All Blacks won a game. They played France.
The score was 37-17 to the All Blacks. It was 19 to 3 By half time.
The first try was scored by Israel Dagg, it was a beautiful try. Number 22, Sonny Bill Williams got a try. Richie McCaw has played 100 test matches for the All Blacks. Richie McCaw got a special cap.

Rugby


On Friday night it was New Zealand played Japan. They played at Waikato stadium in Hamilton.
New Zealand got 13 tries and Japan got 1 try. New Zealand had 57% possesion of the ball and Japan had 47% possesion of the ball. Kahui got 3 tries in the game. The final score was 83-7 to the All Blacks. 16 minutes in the first half a second try to the All Blacks, Richard Kahui got the try. Full time is 80 mins and the All Blacks win. It was a great game at the Waikato Stadium for the All Blacks. Rugby World Cup's leading try scorer is Richard Kahui. He's scored four now from the left wing.

RWC. All Blacks v tonga


On Friday I was watching All Blacks v Tonga . The All Blacks won 41-10. The opening of the RWC ceremony had fireworks and 26 wakas in the ceremony. There was 60,000 people at the
opening ceremony. A 11 year old boy was playing in the backyard with Jonah Lomu.
Downtown Auckland on Quay street and on Queen street there was over 200,000 people
on the street. In the first half of the game Richard Kahui got the first try.
The game of the All Blacks v Tonga was the first game of the RWC. I enjoyed watching Ethan Bai going up in the sky to touch the enourmus giant RWC ball.

Parrots


Today our topic is about Parrots. Parrots have different colours. Parrots have a beak, 4 toes
and they build their nest. Sometimes people steal baby parrots, too.
They take them out of their nest. Parrots live in cold mountains, on the ground, in the rainforest and in a cage. They have strong beaks to eat seeds and clean their feathers.

BOIL UP FROM HICKS BAY


In the weekend I had a boil up for tea. A boil up has watercress, pork bones and potatoes.
The watercress, pork bones and potatoes came from Hicks Bay. My aunty went to Hicks Bay to get it. There was 19 kids and adults. There was leftovers for breakfast and the bones was for my dog.

TARANTULA


Today our topic is about tarantulas. The smallest tarantula is 5 mm long and the largest tarantula is 28 cm long. The tarantula has strong jaws and they hunt for their
prey on the ground. They have eight hairy legs and one of two Pedipalps
used to hold on to the prey. They use sharp fangs to kill insects, lizards, frogs, and small birds.
Tarantulas do not make a webs. Tarantula life cycle, The female tarantula lays an egg and then
it hatches into a spiderling and the spiderling grows into an adult tarantula.
